Texas Master Composters will staff the Compost Fair. Rotate through the learning stations to find out how to compost yard trimmings at home . Registered Plano residents will receive a ready-to-use wire compost bin. Cost: FREE

Texas Master Composters will teach this class on the simple process of composting indoors & outdoors with worms. Registered Plano residents will receive a ready-to-use plastic bio-digester to take home. Cost: FREE

RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP
Experts from Texas AgriLife's Urban Solutions Center will teach this class and will provide participants the opportunity to construct a 55 gallon rain barrel as well as discuss installing an efficient irrigation system. The rain barrel is yours to take home!
Cost: $40
NOTE: Rain barrels measure 24 inches in diameter and 36 inches tall. Please bring a vehicle large enough to haul your rain barrel home. Rain barrels must be picked up by 6:30pm on April 16, 2011.

Turn Blue Jeans Green!
Help us divert waste from our landfills by reusing your old and worn-out jeans. Round up your old bellbottoms, overalls, skinny jeans, jean jackets, worn out and out sized jeans, then bring them to the 2011 Live Green Expo. We will collect gently-used denim on Saturday, April 16. The jeans and jean clothing will be reused or recycled. Just look for the collection signs and drop off your contribution to Goodwill of Dallas.
