in the garden?  What plant do you try desperately to grow only to be thwarted time and time again?  I think lavender is mine.  I really want to have some in the herb section and I have tried numerous cultivars but it is all for naught.  This year I have stoically walked past the lavender every time I see it.  I have to give it a wide berth too or my hand will sneak a plant into my basket against my better judgement.

So how bout y'all?  What plant makes you pull your hair out?

Have you researched the type of soil, climate, etc. that it likes?

Yes, indeed.  I try to kill it with kindness I believe.  When I grew it at the nursery I was not allowed to touch it.  As long as I let my guys take care of it all things were swell.  It was the instant that I started towards it that things went awry......  Wink

My biggest problem is consistency.  Something 'else' is always going on in my life and I miss important swaths of time out in the garden.  Or maybe I just hate the Texas heat and ignore things for too long in the summer.

This spring, I've had a problem with critters (I think it is a rabbit) eating all my baby pepper plants.  ARGH!
