{"id":747,"date":"2014-06-08T22:47:22","date_gmt":"2014-06-09T03:47:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northtexasvegetablegardeners.com\/blog\/?page_id=747"},"modified":"2019-01-09T12:01:43","modified_gmt":"2019-01-09T18:01:43","slug":"faq-frequently-asked-questions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/northtexasvegetablegardeners.com\/blog\/citizen-gardener\/faq-frequently-asked-questions\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQ &#8211; Frequently Asked Questions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><b><i>Citizen Gardener\u00a0<\/i><\/b><b>Frequently Asked Questions<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Q: Can I bring my child to class with me?<\/p>\n<p>A: Maybe, please read background and policy.<\/p>\n<p>Background: \u00a0We cover a lot of material in class and the curriculum is not geared toward keeping children interested. \u00a0We like children to be involved in gardening, but our experience is they become a distraction to other students, which isn\u2019t fair to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Policy: \u00a0We will take up to 3 children age 8 to 11, limit 1 child per adult, per class no charge, first come first serve order. \u00a0Children 12 and up are considered students and should sign up as a student.<\/p>\n<p>Q: How big do the classrooms you teach in need to be?<\/p>\n<p>A: The Citizen Gardener classes are outdoors, not in classrooms. \u00a0Most all of our time is spent building, planting, moving soil, mulching, laughing, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Q: Can I get a refund?<\/p>\n<p>A: No. \u00a0Your registration fee is for your spot in the class. \u00a0If something comes up and you can\u2019t make it, the materials still had to be paid for and we still held up our end of the transaction by teaching the class. \u00a0Sorry if this sounds harsh, but keep this in mind before you reserve your spot!<\/p>\n<p>Q: Do I need to register beforehand? \u00a0Can I just show up the morning of the class?<\/p>\n<p>A: Registration for the class is needed for several reasons: \u00a01) information about the class is emailed out a few days before the class, 2) there usually isn\u2019t enough time or people to register people and start class on time, and 3) the teachers would generally rather not handle class money. \u00a0If you decide to show up to class without registering beforehand, it is possible there will not be room in the class.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Citizen Gardener\u00a0Frequently Asked Questions Q: Can I bring my child to class with me?
