This table shows *optimal* (black dots) soil temps for seed germination. Let this table help guide your planting decisions. Many of you are planting transplants instead of seed, so you can use the green dot areas to help decide when to put your transplants in the ground (please note that the green dots show ACCEPTABLE transplant temperatures, NOT OPTIMAL). This table won&#8217;t help your plants survive a frost or freeze but if you wait until the soil temps are optimal, you will have far less chance of getting caught with your plants down.
