advice.\u00a0 The problem is that the research is almost always paid for by chemical companies.\u00a0 So seeing the advice such as &#8220;don&#8217;t fertilize&#8221;, &#8220;don&#8217;t spray chemicals&#8221;, and &#8220;lower your watering to near zero&#8221; come from Texas A&amp;M caused me a bit of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cognitive_dissonance\">cognitive dissonance<\/a>.\u00a0 But in a good way!\u00a0 Take a look at the handout below, at the bottom row which is for clay soils.\u00a0\u00a0Notice in the &#8220;yearly fertilizer&#8221;
