Tired of Rabbits, Birds, and Squirrels eating my bounty - it's screened now!

How do I post a question about insect pests (posting appears to be turned off in that topic)? ???
-
you can probably turn that into a greenhouse without too much effort. I might have to evolve into something like that too.... the birds drive me crazy poking holes in my tomatoes.
-
It was designed to be covered in greenhouse plastic in the Fall when it starts cooling down in order to try to extend the growing season.

Very nice!

great idea! I would love to see the progression.. please keep us updated!

I like what you have done and would enjoy seeing a few more photos, including close-ups.

Electric Valve on garden watering system. Temporary Garden hose supply water. I ran plastic pipe to each box and installed fittings for soaker hoses for raised boxes & drippers for pots and hanging strawberries. I just got back from a week's vacation and system worked like a dream with all plants growing madly.

thanks for posting all the pics up. I like that hinge idea too.

Ready for my Fall Garden Planting - waiting for August?

Fall Kandy Korn already in and growing (hopefully not too early)

I planted Kandy Korn in the spring. First time to ever plant corn. Not thrilled with the outcome, but the flavor of what we got was wonderful. Still have some seeds left. Maybe I should use them up.

Pollination is the key. They are wind-pollinated - tassels on top down to the silk on the ears. So plant in squares or multiple rows. We had good corn in the Spring. Last year, the squirrels ate it just as it ripened so watch out for them.
