There are a few folks that make a living from their radio show, and selling products with their names on it. Lots of valuable information!
Howard Garrett - The Dirt Doctor
There is a wealth of information about organic living on his website. http://www.dirtdoctor.com/ (http://www.dirtdoctor.com/)
He also has a forum with a vegetable/herb/fruit board at http://www.dirtdoctor.com/newforum/root/vegetables-fruits-herbs-forum-f17.html (http://www.dirtdoctor.com/newforum/root/vegetables-fruits-herbs-forum-f17.html)

I can't find it anymore, but at one time there was a website dedicated to being very critical of Howard Garrett. Seems like the site is gone now, but I found a funny little footnote from a message board:
(*) A lovely quote by our "independent" Field Roebuck who once got in a tiff
with Garrett and has spent years being a pain in the ass...
-----------------------------------------
"I devote the second portion of this website to informing the visitor about
our local source of chaff -- and to the curious and often ludicrous
pronouncements of Dallas? own mountebank of misinformation, John Howard
Garrett, the self-anointed and self-serving "Doctor of Dirt.""
-----------------------------------------
The sad part is that Howard Garret (a "mountebank of misinformation"???) has
done more for earth-friendly agriculture & gardening than a hundred of
Roebuck's ilk.
