Title: Hello Everyone

Thanks for being here! I'm newly interested in trying to feed myself and my family organically and locally in North Texas. I know it's a big job and I will need to start with baby steps but I have lots of land and really want to give it a try and do the best I can. I have very little gardening experience but am a quick study and don't mind hard work. I am also most interested in heirloom plants and even a few animals. So, I'm looking forward to reading this blog and learning what I can.

welcome to the community!   How much land are you on?  A long-term goal (dream) of mine is to own a little land!
