Title: Hello
Post by: Ryan in Mesquite on July 18, 2011, 10:13:53 AM
Hi everyone. I live in Mesquite and have a 4'x16' raised bed vegetable garden. I plan on building a couple more beds soon. I love vegetable gardening, however it can be very frustrating. I went with all squash this spring and lost them all to squash bugs and squash vine borers. I'm not going to plant squash for a while that's for sure. Anyway, I have big plans for a fall crop so I look forward to learning lots here.

Glad you found the community Ryan!

I had similar trouble with squash.  I don't think I harvested one single fruit out of at least 8 plants.  Very frustrating!

I'm ready for the cooler weather and come broccoli and lettuce growing in my beds.
