Hi, all.
I was an avid home gardener in Tennessee. Ah, how I remember the compost piles, the trips to horse farms for garden fuel, and my lovely towering sunflowers.
Then I moved to Denton, Texas five years ago, and...well, stopped.
This year, I'm getting back to my roots (sorry, word play gone bad). By this Saturday, I should have a finished raised bed just 5x7. Much smaller than my in-ground garden from before, but I figure start small. Plus, the soil here is so much poorer, the rain so much less, and the heat so much more intense. So a raised bed it is.
I'm looking forward to exploring this site and learning from those of you who've been at this a while in the area.
Cheers, all.
