City mosquito spraying
« on: July 17, 2012, 03:13:28 PM »
I've been hoping the City of Dallas would by-pass my neighborhood for West Nile Mosquito spraying, but today I saw a sign that they're going to be spraying in the area very soon (still trying to find out the exact day).  My first concern is for my daughter because of her health issues and our house is not air-tight.  The second concern is my organic vegetable garden and rain barrel.  I don't want this stuff settling into either.  I'm curious what others do when there's been an area-wide spraying?  Should I put plastic tarp over them as soon as the sun goes down?  I don't want to suffocate the plants, but need something that won't absorb the mosquito spray.  If the amount is minimal and not worth the effort, I'd like to know that too.

Thank you.
