Thanks for allowing me to join the forum. I've learned so much from the facebook group. I have a passion for gardening that comes from growing up in the country and helping my grandmother work her garden. It was a good sized garden for an 'older' woman. She was probably much younger than I am now.
I've had a backyard garden for about 5 years. Last year's rains allowed the grass and weeds to take over. I almost didn't do a garden this year, but a co-worker talked to me about raised beds and I started with 3, 4x8 beds this March. Late start for me. I usually plant onions and potatoes the last week of January.
