A very brief update - very fried, right now - Just got back here - yesterday evening, after six weeks on the road. Spent a lot of time at the lab - but mostly, upon the road. Have done so many conferences and shows that I don't by now remember most of 'em - got in late, yesterday - after the San Antonio Spring Home and Garden Show.
The next show we'll be at is the Chambersville Tree Farm Event on March 3rd - Saturday (I think), just outside of McKinney. Sorry, at this time of day, catching up with stuff, can't get a link to this to give you - just checked for one...
Am fading very fast, so lemme get the few things out that come immediately to mind - Last Saturday, we did a presentation at Sandy Oaks Olive Orchard - alot more about this - will get it up later - will put it up either dirctly here - or as a link to our webcyte - not sure how that is going to work, yet... We had to break away from the SA H&G Show to do it - leaving our general manager to hold down the fort while we were at Sandy Oaks... The SA show is huge, by the way, but it is approximately the last public show that we shall be doing - time and money is better spent on the growers' associations' events...
BUT - we'll be at the SA Festival of Flowers show in May (I think), as our VP Operations, Noel Garcia, will be part of the round-table discussion, together with Bruce Deuley, Stuart Franke, John Dromgoole, Bob Webster - and others. Uhh - sorry to be so vague on this, but am really dying, right now. Will come forth with better details in a few days when I can finally see, again...
Have been on the radio alot, lately - but not in the D-FW area - have gotten a lot of really good feedback and calls...
One thing I really wanna mention - looked at the stats for what we've already posted. Noted with very great satisfaction the number of people who have looked at our next-to-the-last posting concerning TREES. These two papers took weeks to put together. They started off, years ago, as a two-pager. We added a a lot of photos and drawings to it to finally end up with presently two sections of six pages, each. That may not be the end of it. As a result of getting out and talking with people, we heard questions that we never thought of - that translates into more research for us - to find and publish the answers.
BUT - we are extremely gratified to see the attention the TREES papers seem to have gotten - it was a long process to get them together - and we presume to suppose that they are an extremely valuable resource for you. But maybe not...
Oh, and just to jerk with you a little further, we had five goats (two mothers) born while we were gone... The youngest one (a week old) is laying upon my lap, as I write this, here in the office - a bit of a story behind that - will do a little piece about that and post the link here, later - if you're interested... In case you're wondering, yes, she is house/office-broken...
Gotta go to bed... Joy.
